cold temperatureAdverse weather conditions currently experienced in the country sees Suva record its coldest temperature in recent times of 18 degrees. This is the second lowest temperature recorded in Fiji. The lowest of 14.5 degrees, according to the Nadi Weather Office was recorded in Monasavu last night. The highest temperature of 19 degrees today was recorded in Nadi. Senior Meteorologists at the Nadi Weather Office Amit Singh told FijiLive the low temperatures are due to a high pressure system to the far southwest which directs a moderate to fresh cool southeast winds over the Fiji group. He also attributed the significant change in the temperatures to the lack of sunshine experienced throughout the day and the cloud cover hanging over Fiji.
